Dear Brooklyn

Last night I had a dream I was back home

You won’t find grass and tress, everything is covered in black stone

Around here, everything is right up the block

They scrape ice on the corner when the summer is hot

I heard there’s boys wildin’ out that even fight with the cops

And walk to school everyday whether they like it or not

Johnny pump, sprayin’ cars when they pass by

The girls around here, grow up fast, and swear that they mad fly

See these are the streets that my God called me to reach

And I’ll take it with me everywhere, even Virginia Beach

Dear Brooklyn I told you I’d be around

This county of kings, so let Jesus wear the crown

//One time for my Boriquas

Y todos los latinos, manos arriba

New York, New York, whenever I see ya’

I’m comin’ back to the ghetto reppin’ Jesus, hey//

They yell Boriqua when we walkin’ down the street (Boriqua!)

Windows tinted, can’t even see the driver in the seat

Dominoes, gettin’ slammed on the table, capicu

While I’m handin’ out mixtapes, ’cause my album is droppin’ soon

The streets callin’ me just like the waves do

So I’m eye’n’ Puerto Rico, lookin’ for some great food

I’m an island boy, born in a concrete jungle

That means I got rhythm and I’m ready to rumble

So whenever the beat play, prepare for the replay

‘Cause I’m gonna speak flame, whenever I preach grace

I’m bringin’ Christ The King to King’s County

It’s time to shake, New York State, startin’ on our street

//One time for my Boriquas

Y todos los latinos, manos arriba

New York, New York, whenever I see ya’

I’m comin’ back to the ghetto reppin’ Jesus, hey//

And this ain’t just for the big city

I’m ridin’ with anybody that’s willin’ to come with me

The gospel needs to be spread wherever we go

The world is feedin’ them death, while we’re givin’ them hope

We are the light of the world, hit the block and let it glow

If we really believe in God, it’s time to let it show

Dear Brooklyn, I just wanna’ see you doin’ better

We got a long way to go, but baby keep your head up

They don’t see the potential that I see in you

They just criticize ’cause they ain’t been through what you been through

And just like you, I have people who doubt me

Have no fear, the prince is returning to King’s County
